The Shining (1980)

What do Anthony Burgess and Stephen King have in common? Neither of them liked what Stanley Kubrick did to their stories. For anyone who has read Red Alert by Peter George and compared it to Kubrick’s Dr Strangelove: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb it’s pretty obvious that Kubrick wasn’t terribly faithful to the original material.

That’s true of The Shining, one of the films that I reviewed for my film class, and here it is:
